7 Brew Hudson, NY: Reportedly Opening November 2, 2026 – 160 Fairview Ave, Former Key Bank Site
7 Brew’s new stand at 160 Fairview Avenue, on the edge of the City of Hudson, is reportedly targeting a November 2, 2026 opening, with crew training said to begin October 16. 7 Brew itself has only committed publicly to “by the end of 2026.” Here’s everything confirmed, including a jurisdiction quirk that explains why some records list this project as Greenport, not Hudson.

Hudson or Greenport? A Jurisdiction Quirk Worth Knowing
Every outlet covering this project, including WTEN and Hudson Valley Country, calls it the “Hudson, NY” stand, since 160 Fairview Ave sits right on the edge of the city and uses a Hudson mailing address. But the project was actually presented to the Town of Greenport’s Planning Board, not the City of Hudson’s, according to a Hudson Valley 360/Daily Gazette report from a March 2026 board meeting. Greenport is the town that surrounds the City of Hudson in Columbia County, which is why the same site can be described as being in “Hudson” for everyday purposes while its approvals ran through Greenport’s town government. Both descriptions point to the exact same building at 160 Fairview Ave.
What the Planning Board Was Told About the Stand
At that March 2026 meeting, Niskayuna-based engineer Brett Steenburgh presented the project on 7 Brew’s behalf and described exactly how the stand will run:
Per Steenburgh, no walk-in customers will be allowed; every order is taken and delivered curbside. The stand will run with 5 to 7 employees, and rather than an electronic ordering board, staff walk out to each car with a handheld keypad to take the order, then the car pulls around to the other side for pickup. He told the board 7 Brew’s model can typically turn an order around in under 3 minutes. The plan includes 15 parking spaces, mostly for employees, and about 10 feet of green space between the new stand and the neighboring building, which Steenburgh noted would double as space to stack plowed snow in winter. Board members raised concerns about balancing that green space against enough drive-thru queue room to keep cars from backing onto Fairview Avenue, a point Steenburgh agreed to take back to 7 Brew.
Confirmed Operating Hours
No official hours have been published for this specific stand. At the March planning board meeting, Steenburgh said hours would likely mirror 7 Brew’s existing Capital Region stands, which he described as open daily from 5:30 AM to 10 PM.
Hudson’s First 7 Brew, and the Capital Region’s Newest
This will be the first 7 Brew location in Columbia County. Per WTEN, 7 Brew began expanding into the Capital Region in 2023 with its first area stand in Johnstown, and has since opened in Colonie, Schenectady, Queensbury, and North Greenbush. Brew Family NY, an active 7 Brew franchise group, separately describes itself as the first 7 Brew franchise in New York and the Northeast, having opened its second stand in Binghamton in November 2024; it isn’t clear from public reporting whether Brew Family NY is the specific operator behind the Hudson stand.
Other 7 Brew Projects Around the Hudson Valley
Hudson isn’t the only Hudson Valley market 7 Brew is eyeing. Per Hudson Valley Country, plans were submitted to the Town of Wappinger for a stand at 1506 Route 9, on the site of a former Sonic, which has already cleared the Zoning Board of Appeals and awaits Planning Board approval. Separately, unconfirmed talk on social media has pointed to a possible location in Middletown, in Orange County, though nothing has been formally filed there as of this writing.
