The stand is confirmed for 841 National Road in Wheeling’s Woodsdale neighborhood, on the site of the former Spic & Span Dry Cleaners, a vacant property already zoned C-2 Commercial. It sits directly adjacent to a Dunkin’ location, three doors down from a renovated Sheetz, and across the street from a Tim Horton’s, in a stretch of National Road that Ward 2 Councilman Ben Seidler has said will offer “a lot of great coffee shops to choose” from. This is one of 62 new 7 Brew locations opening across 26 states in August 2026, per the company’s confirmed rollout announced to USA Today.

Who’s Building It: Franchisee & Site Details

The Wheeling location is being developed by Bob Gage of Who Brew LLC, a 7 Brew franchisee who told the Wheeling Planning Commission in August 2025 that he already operates nine 7 Brew locations and is expanding into both Wheeling and Morgantown. Gage described the concept as “loosely modeled after a Chick-fil-A drive-through,” with orders placed to a live employee rather than a speaker, and drinks delivered roughly four minutes after ordering.

The stand itself will be a 510-square-foot modular building paired with a 273-square-foot accessory building for cooler and storage space, separated by five feet. Like all 7 Brew locations, the modular unit is built off-site, in this case in Kansas, then trucked in and assembled on-site in as little as four days. One notable local wrinkle: the site sits in a floodplain near Wheeling Creek, and engineers are working through plans to keep water out of the building in the event of flooding.

What the Drive-Thru Will Look Like

This will be a 100% drive-thru location with no walk-in traffic and no interior seating. The design uses two drive-thru lanes accommodating up to 10 cars each, for a total capacity of 20 cars in line at once, plus a “bail-out line” that lets customers with quick orders get their drinks and go even if the vehicle ahead is still waiting on a larger order. Rather than a traditional pickup window, orders are handed off through a sliding door, with employees running drinks out to cars. The location will typically run five employees per shift, with extra parking built in to handle shift changes.
