The flyer names Blessings in a Backpack as the beneficiary of all proceeds from the October 16-18 weekend. The nonprofit supplies weekend food for elementary school students who may not have enough to eat when school meals aren’t available. Its Louisville listing on Go to Louisville’s community impact portal says it has fed over 87,300 children across nearly 1,092 schools in 45 states and Washington, D.C. The flyer does not say which schools or local program will receive the La Grange donation.

The cause fits the town. The Oldham Era describes La Grange as the “self-proclaimed Kindness Capital of Kentucky.” Past 7 Brew openings have announced their totals at ribbon cuttings, such as the $10,064 raised in Petal, MS. La Grange has not announced a total yet.

From County Review to Modular Build

This stand went through county review before construction. On December 17, 2025, the Oldham County Technical Review Committee reviewed the proposed 7 Brew drive-through at the site plan stage. According to a summary of that meeting, agencies flagged parking, stormwater permits, and a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet access restriction on KY-53, and a parking waiver was likely to be requested. The summary says the applicant had to address these issues before formal site plan approval. We could not find how each item was resolved.

The building itself went up fast. Project superintendent Dave Miller told the Oldham Era on August 29, 2026 that the stand should open in six to eight weeks. The Era reported that the modular buildings come from Creative Modular Construction of Springfield, Missouri, arrive in four pre-inspected pieces with plumbing and wiring installed, and are then connected to foundations, grease and sewer lines, and power on site. “Everything is pretty much ready for us to go,” Miller said. The same article noted that he had a stand underway in Shelbyville, which opened on October 5.

Jobs at 7 Brew La Grange

The Oldham Era reported that most 7 Brew locations hire about 50 employees, mostly part-time, plus a store manager and assistant manager. Openings are posted on 7 Brew’s website, a QR code was expected outside the site, and interviews were to be held at a nearby hotel, which the Era did not name.
