Caffeine for a Cause: Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters
The opening events start with a pay-what-you-want weekend, October 9-11, with all proceeds going to Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters. The registered 501(c)(3) matches young people facing adversity with adult volunteer mentors in one-to-one relationships, through both community-based and school-based programs.

Where Exactly Is This 7 Brew?
The new stand is at 2717 SW Wanamaker Road, just north of the 29th and Wanamaker intersection and right next to Big O Tires. WIBW 13 NEWS spotted crews pouring the concrete pad there on July 7. That puts it about two miles south of Topeka’s first 7 Brew on the same road, in the heart of the Wanamaker retail corridor near Gyroville, The Big Biscuit, and Blue Moose.
Topeka Was Kansas’s First 7 Brew
Topeka has a special place in 7 Brew history. The chain’s first Kansas location opened at 1115 SW Wanamaker Road in February 2022. Back then, local franchise co-owner John Kollhoff told WIBW that three Topeka stands were being planned, each hiring around 55 people. Before that first stand opened, the brand even ran a mobile coffee pop-up at 29th and Wanamaker, almost exactly where the second stand now sits.
It took more than four years for stand number two to arrive. In the meantime, 7 Brew has grown to 22 Kansas locations, including multiple stands in Wichita, Lawrence, and the Kansas City metro, plus college towns like Hays, Manhattan, and Pittsburg. Recent Kansas openings include Shawnee and west Wichita, and Salina is next in line, with a stand expected by the end of 2026.
